FEMALE DESIGN FUTURES - Paris Design Week
We are excited to present the exhibition FEMALE DESIGN FUTURES for Paris Design Week, bringing together the work of six women designers and artists from across the globe.
Join us in celebrating women in design, cultural heritage and contemporary craft in Paris.
From Guatemala and Morocco to South Africa, Australia and Singapore, the featured designers reinterpret traditional crafts, materials and patterns through their unique contemporary objects, textiles, furniture and art.
Meet the designers and discover their work at our showroom during Paris Design Week.

Exhibited Brands
Cálamo
The Guatemalan design studio Cálamo was founded by Catalina Lopez Allen in 2024. Catalina reimagines Guatemala's ancestral soul through the lens of contemporary high art. Elevating native wicker, the humble fiber of the Guatemalan market basket, through architectural tension and void, the brand reveals the structural genius of the weave. Through a collaborative ritual between architect and artisan, the studio uses the earth’s own ink to draw in three dimensions, proving that the handmade is the ultimate expression of modern sophistication.
Gozdava 1590
Gozdava 1590 was founded by perfumer Agata Karolina in Cape Town, South Africa in 2015. Agata travels the world in search of exceptional, little-known materials, immersing herself in the landscapes they come from, to understand not just their scent, but the feeling of being there. Each fragrance is built around a single, rare find, sometimes captured directly, sometimes reconstructed with total fidelity when harvesting is impossible, carrying that place into the bottle. Her particular fascination lies with the botanical wealth of Africa's southern tip, unfamiliar terrain, worked into unexpected combinations alongside materials gathered elsewhere.
Lisa Lapointe
Australian multidisciplinary artist Lisa Lapointe investigates a defining theme of our time: our civilization stands at a crossroads, with one path leading deeper into technology and the other reconnecting us with the earth, our humanity and the knowledge passed down through generations.
Her work honors ancient craft, mythology and ancestral wisdom. Through clay, the artist explores patience, imperfection and ritual, championing human touch, imagination and our enduring connection to nature.
Studio Kallang
Studio Kallang is a furniture and object design brand based between Singapore and New York City, founded by Singaporean designer Faezah Shaharuddin in 2021. By drawing on her childhood memories, Faezah takes Malay cultural references and craft traditions to the world through her playful designs ranging from collectible objects to furniture pieces.
Studio sana benzaitar
Based in Marrakesh, Studio Sana Benzaitar is a Moroccan rug brand founded by Sana Benzaitar and run by her sister, Raja. With an entirely female workforce, their luxurious, simplistic Ben Mrirt rugs are knotted by families of weavers across the Middle Atlas Mountains using locally sourced wool and traditional vegetable dyes.
THEURBANATIVE
Founded in 2017 by Mpho Vackier, TheUrbanative is a Johannesburg-based furniture and product design studio creating contemporary pieces rooted in African cultural narratives and heritage. Inspired by abstracted cultural references, craftsmanship, and material exploration, the studio merges modern furniture silhouettes with storytelling, sustainability, and evolving design practices, translating African identities and traditions into contemporary objects for the urban native.

Our co-founder Ann-Kathrin Zotz, together with the exhibitors present at the gallery, will welcome you and introduce you personally to the furniture, design objects, textiles and collectibles showcased, unveiling the narrative behind each piece.
We invite you to enjoy delicious natural wine served by our partner Pépìn and spend the evening discovering unique design pieces from across the world and inspiring conversations around cultures and diversity in the contemporary design industry.
We look forward to welcoming you for an evening of design, cultural exchange and inspiring conversations.

GUIDED CRAFT TOURS & Meet the founders
Join us for a guided tour through FEMALE DESIGN FUTURES and discover how traditional craftsmanship is reimagined through a contemporary lens. Explore textiles, sculptural ceramics, wooden pieces and distinctive scents created by women designers and artists from around the world.

We warmly invite interior designers, architects and press our Design Brunch, opening Female Design Futures, during Paris Design Week at Cor Studio, on September 11, 10 AM - 12 PM.
Our co-founder Ann-Kathrin Zotz, together with the exhibitors present at the gallery, will welcome you and introduce you personally to the furniture, design objects, textiles and collectibles showcased, unveiling the narrative behind each piece.
The brunch will be complemented with a taste of Taiwanese culture with traditional Taiwanese tea and a selection of delicious pastries served by our partner Laïzé.
