Most of Mozhdeh Matin's production is made to order. It combines timeless design with high quality, and it is ethically and fairly crafted. The brand strives to ensure all materials come from sustainable sources that seek to give back to all communities involved and who incorporate fair trade principles and standards into their core values. Mozhdeh Matin uses eco-friendly natural dyes that ensure clean production processes and source sustainable raw materials.
The brand uses 100% Peruvian Pima cotton, a distinctive variety exclusive to Peru, known for its exceptional attributes such as its long staple length (42 mm), extraordinary softness, and remarkable brightness. The cotton they employ is procured from a Fair-Trade and GOTS certified enterprise with a 35-year legacy of championing cotton textile production in Peru. Their operations have a positive impact on over 160 families residing in three distinct valleys within the country.
Mozhdeh also takes pride in using top-quality Peruvian Alpaca wool for their garments. Their commitment to sustainability is unwavering. Mozhdeh Matin ensures that the wool harvesting process is environmentally responsible and doesn't harm the Alpaca herds or their habitats.
In 2019, Mozhdeh Matin introduced shiringa, a sustainable alternative to leather sourced from the Peruvian Amazon. This latex is collected without harming trees or the environment and supports local communities. Mozhdeh Matin has turned shiringa into a warm, waterproof, and elastic material for fashion, offering an ethical and sustainable alternative to traditional leather.
