In 2019, Accra-based goldsmith and artist Kiala Kanzi launched her jewelry brand as an expression of her core values. Both symbolic and spiritual, the brand's design are inspired by Kanzi's heritage and travels. In 2023, Kanzi launched her hair-jewelry brand GEMZ, to further explore and celebrate her creative practice and roots. Pieces across both brands are made primarily with 925 sterling silver.

Currently based in Accra, Ghana, Kiala Kanzi is a Cameroonian-Syrian-German multidisciplinary artist and goldsmith. After exploring a number of different mediums from tailoring to product design, Kanzi discovered her love for jewelry making and describes metal as her ultimate material for expressing herself.

Inspired by the power of jewelry as an heirloom, an expression of culture, and an affiliation with community, Kanzi believes deeply in its power to connect.
