Founded in 2015 by Aanchal Goel, Objectry is an Indian design brand based in New Delhi. Through a variety of decorative objects, accessories, and furniture, the brand explores form and material with joy and simplicity its leading principles. They believe in the functional aesthetics, while also celebrating Indian artisanship.
After graduating from the Symbiosis Institute of Design in Pune, Aanchal Goel moved to New York to study at the Parsons School of Design. In 2013, she graduated with a degree in graphic design and began working as a product designer with Devi Design. Inspired to create a brand of her own, rooted in material-led design, she went on to establish Objectry in 2015. As a potter herself, Goel started making smaller pieces, before growing the brand into what it is today.
FOUNDER: Aanchal Goel
LOCATION: New Delhi, India
MATERIALS: Acacia Wood, Glass, Marble
Working primarily with acacia wood, the brand's design philosophy is material and form focused. In the heart of South Delhi, a tight team of carpenters and artisans work closely with Goel to ensure the natural rawness of the materials is maintained and celebrated.
Material informs the geometric, simple designs that define Objectry. Each distinct piece is crafted with the intention to be used and touched.
Acacia, a wood known for its durability, is found in design across India. The tree itself is also widely known for its medicinal properties. In design, it is used primarily for both indoor and outdoor furniture, remaining its vibrant and natural look over time. Its durability and scratch resistance makes it highly sustainable.
