Choei Stool - Fahsai

CHOEI [Thai for outdated] is a handcrafted Art Deco stool that reimagines a found mould. Captured by its Chinese motifs and delicate design details, Rumbá Bor repurposed a found plastic stool mould. Reclaimed from an old factory with a twist on traditional plastic production, Choei blurs the line between the everyday mundane and the designed.

Thai for “clear sky,”  the Fahsai Stool has a semi-transparent blue speckled finish that’s almost glitter-like. It is recycled from blue stationery folder production waste, which for us adds another layer of childhood nostalgia.
