The Pupa Side Table was designed in Mexico City by Lørdag & Søndag and hand-woven by master artisan Alberto Cruz Mejía in the town of Tequisquiapan, Querétaro, Mexico. The different shapes of the legs of this piece depict the stages of metamorphosis of an insect, therefore the name Pupa. This piece was woven using natural wicker fiber and it features an internal metal structure providing support and stability.

Regularly wipe it with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth. Clean up spills immediately to prevent stains, and use only mild soap with water—never harsh chemicals. Every 6 to 12 months, lightly sand the surface and reapply hard wax oil to maintain its protection and finish. Avoid placing hot items or wet objects directly on the table, and keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight.

Lørdag & Søndag is a Mexico City–based design studio founded in 2011 by brothers Salvador and Enzo Compañ.
