“Portals”
This mixed media series explores the intersection between physical terrains and psychological states. These works capture fleeting moments photographed through car windows while in transit, later transformed through artistic reinterpretation.
Each piece presents a layered experience—the external landscape viewed through frames that mirror the way our perceptions are filtered through multiple lenses: the physical window, emotional response, and later memory. The compositions create a dialogue between presence and distance, blurring boundaries between observer and environment.
These works exist in an in-between space where memory, emotion, and landscape converge. They represent not just what was seen, but what was felt—combining the external landscapes witnessed while traveling with the internal landscapes they evoked. Through this layering process, the series meditates on how places become intertwined with our inner lives, and how memory transforms both.
