The portrait series Local Angels is a joyful documentation of Amsterdam’s ‘underground eccentrics’ and celebrates those refusing to conform to societal standards. Featuring various street cast characters, some real, others enhanced with the help of Voss’ styling, the series celebrates the colourful individuals who wear their unique quirks on the outside.

The Amsterdam-based photographer and creative director Lois Cohen closely collarborates with stylist and creative director Indiana Roma Voss. Their common work combines fiction and reality to a stunning effect. They have known each other since they were teenagers and are now part of the new vanguard of image makers and storytellers.. and so on.
