Made in Berlin by Peruvian fashion design brand Maqu.

Crafted from an elastic, lightweight, and incredibly soft jersey fabric with a fine structure, the Ayahuasca Jacket embodies both comfort and style. Marisa, the founder of Maqu, draws inspiration from the rich tapestry of Peruvian culture, where mysticism and suggestion, materialism and spiritualism, as well as the intersection of past and present, play significant roles.

This jacket is not only a testament to fine craftsmanship but also aligns with the ethos of sustainable non-fast fashion brands. Marisa's dedication to capturing the essence of Peruvian culture through fashion reflects a commitment to ethical choices and a conscious approach to design. Embrace the allure of the Ayahuasca Jacket, where comfort meets culture in a creation that reflects both style and a responsible fashion philosophy.

Meet Maqu

Marisa Fuentes Prado , the founder of Maqu experienced her grandmother's clothing production in Lima, Peru as a child. She developed by working with artists, taking photographs, painting, and having a fiery wish to design clothes. Her background is paved by a fashion degree; working in 2013 with her favorite designer, Henrik Vibskov in Copenhagen; and at Paris and Copenhagen Fashion Week.

She’s currently producing from Berlin, where she let inspirations from different parts of the world flow together into a lasting design in an open dynamic environment. Berlin witnessed Maqu’s first full collection in 2016. Since then, Maqu Green Project company was founded. Art, design, and practicality flow together with social and environmental sustainability. That’s why 100% of the brand's cotton is organically grown and GOTS-certified.
