By sustainable Thai design studio Rumbá Bor.
Defined by its Chinese motifs and delicate design details, Choei repurposed a found plastic stool mould that was discontinued in the early 2000s to make the Rare stool. Replacing the original PVC injection method with hand-poured recycled polypropylene creates marble-like patterns—transforming what was once identical and mass-produced into one-of-a-kind pieces.
Squat is CHOEI with its legs cut short. Born from legs with defects at the base, Rumbá Bor trims what would otherwise be discarded, turning a production leftover into something made for getting close to the ground. Same mould, same material, new purpose.
