Designed by Artijaan, a brand supporting artisans in Afghanistan.

This embroidered T-shirt “We Carry the Dawn,” is a project created in collaboration with 25 women-led enterprises across Bamyan, Kabul, Herat, and Badakhshan. The t-shirt symbolizes new beginnings (dawn), hope, and the end of darkness. For Afghan women, change isn’t something they wait for—they carry it within them, shaping a brighter future.

The designs feature symbols chosen by the women themselves, representing both the spirit of the collection and their homeland.

By wearing this T-shirt, you carry their story—and their future—forward, as all proceeds are reinvested into new orders to support and sustain their businesses.

This project is a collaboration between Artijaan and ACTED, supported by UN Women.
