By Indian design studio, Claymen.

Somewhere between here and there, with baggage that’s mostly emotional. These claymen figure sculptures emerge from a careful observation of the common man and his dilemmas.

Claymen in motion, in waiting, in between. We’re all between somewhere and something. Between meetings. Between feelings. Between arrival and departure. Claymen are no exception. They’re between states of being. mid-thought, mid-motion, mid-emotion.
They haven’t quite arrived. They haven’t fully left. Some are still in crates. Others sit quietly on shelves marked “fragile.” A few have wandered out, unsure where to go. None are fully settled. All are somewhere between. These aren’t just characters in transit. They are metaphors in motion, still unpacking what it means to be.

Meet Claymen

Claymen is a contemporary design studio based in Delhi, India, founded by Aman Khanna, that crafts clay figurative sculptures depicting the fragility of the human condition. The sculptures are made from simple clay and are sun-dried and half-baked in an open fire. Rooted in the philosophy of simplicity and introspection, each piece reflects the quiet complexity of human emotion and modern life. Handmade in India, Claymen’s creations blend art and utility, offering a unique fusion of sculptural storytelling and everyday functionality.
